Our inspection focuses on the building envelope: utility penetrations, garage door seals, weep holes, dryer vents, foundation cracks and the gap where brick meets siding.
Older Toronto housing stock, semi-detached homes with shared walls, and new-build subdivisions with unsealed service penetrations all have their own typical entry patterns, and we treat them differently.

- Store dry goods in glass or hard plastic containers
- Clear the perimeter of basements and garages so we can inspect and place devices
- Note where you have seen droppings — a photo helps
- Keep pets away from device locations

- Seal gaps around pipes, cables and dryer vents with rodent-resistant materials
- Replace worn garage door and door sweep seals
- Keep firewood, compost and bird seed away from the foundation
- Trim vegetation touching the exterior walls
- Fix soffit and roofline gaps that give access above the ceiling
Seasonal note: Mouse calls in Ontario rise sharply from September through November as temperatures drop and mice move indoors, then stay steady all winter. Late summer is the best time to seal entry points before that push starts.
FAQ
Common questions
Why do mice keep coming back after I set traps?
Because trapping removes the individuals but not the access. Until the entry gaps are sealed, the same route keeps supplying new mice from outside or from an adjoining unit.
How do mice get into a house in Ontario?
Most commonly through utility penetrations, garage door corners, gaps under siding, weep holes, dryer and stove vents, and foundation cracks. Anything wider than about 6 mm is enough.
Is one mouse a sign of more?
Often, yes. Mice are social and breed quickly, and droppings in more than one room usually indicate more than one animal.
Do you use bait or traps?
It depends on the property. In homes with children or pets we lean heavily on trapping indoors, with tamper-resistant exterior stations only where they are appropriate and legal.
Are your technicians licensed?
Yes. Pest control in Ontario is regulated, and any pesticide application we perform is carried out by a licensed exterminator working within Ontario's Pesticides Act and the product label.
