Wasps
Wasp nests around Ontario homes are usually found under soffits, in roof corners, inside wall voids, beneath decks and in sheds — anywhere sheltered and dry with easy flight access.
Overview
The risk with a wasp nest is not the nest, it is the reaction when it is disturbed. Knocking one down, spraying a retail can from a ladder, or blocking the entrance while wasps are inside are the three ways people get stung badly.
We treat the nest at the access point so returning foragers carry the treatment in, then remove or advise on the nest once activity has stopped.

Seasonal note: Ontario wasp nests start small in May, grow through summer and become most aggressive in August and September as colonies peak and food sources shift. Early-season removal is far simpler and cheaper.
FAQ
Do not spray from a ladder, do not knock it down, and do not seal the entrance while the nest is active — sealed wasps often chew through into the interior of the building.
Bald-faced hornet nests are large, enclosed, football-shaped grey paper structures hanging in the open. Common wasp nests are often smaller, and paper wasp nests are open combs under eaves.
