Checklist

  1. 1March – AprilMice still active indoors, ant colonies wake, carpenter ants that overwintered inside appear. Best window for exterior sealing before insect season.
  2. 2May – JunePavement and carpenter ants peak, wasp queens start small nests. Inspect soffits, sheds and decks now — nest removal is easiest at this stage.
  3. 3July – AugustWasps and hornets at full colony strength, mosquito pressure highest, spider activity building. Priority season for stinging insects.
  4. 4September – OctoberThe biggest rodent push of the year as temperatures fall, plus peak spider sightings and autumn flea spikes. Seal entry points immediately.
  5. 5November – FebruaryRodents, cockroaches, bed bugs and pantry pests dominate — all indoor pests that stay active in heated buildings all winter.
